Something I did back in high school. The only thing I've drawn that I ever kept. It's way too big to ever be scanned, and the frame was custom made by my step-father.
The image itself is sketched in charcoal pencil, where I then cut out the entire thing eith an exacto knife and glued it to another sheet of paper. Unfortunately some of the rubber cement smeared at parts, but that's the only thing I don't like about this picture. And I'm a really tough critic.
Baphomet is the old Templar god who was said to have created worlds from his dream, supposedly our world as well. He's both good and evil and is basically a symbol of balance. Hence him being male but with parts of the female anatomy. During the Inquisition, the Templars were persecuted for believing in Baphomet, and it was then dismissed as being the Devil. Which is why the devil is now portrayed the way he is now. Stereo-typical horns and goat legs and crap. Which is very false.

very cool! the simplicity of it all is tremendous...
That's charcoal? really? it looks just like paint to me! I bet if you lied about your age and entered this in a high school art show you'd get first prize...they always go for stuff like this.

Feccagar: "we really need to stop meeting like this..." Fendreth: "you mean in your study, at night?" Feccagar: "no, I meant when we meet every thursday for waxing the trees...people might supect something about us...
My teacher at the time wanted me to make this a center piece to a week long exhibit dedicated to me, but this was the only good thing I had made, plus, everyone in the class really discouraged me from doing much else of anything..>.O.
Wow, a week long exhibit all to you? what an honour! Yeah, I know what you mean about not having anything you find impressive for a show, but I've also found that other people tend not to notice, and they all grovel at you saying "I can't even draw stick figures" or my favourite "Wow, did you draw that?"
no, it just has my name signed on it because I payed the artist responsible to do that 9_9
classmates can be so stupid...

Yeah, I got those a few times. But I was actually the least talented one in the class, and sort of treated like a joke by the classmates. So blah, they kinda' killed my motivation. But I'm glad you liked this! ^^
